I also have a reclining love seat that broke. I have had it less than 2 years and I noticed the right side of the love seat's cushion was sinking to the right - sinking in towards the side where the handle is that raises the footrest.
The other night I pulled the handle for the footrest to raise up and it broke. The footrest of the love seat (on one side) now won't close and the cushion is sunk in. No way to fix it that we can see. What a waste of money.
Love seats should last more than 2 years. PLUS we each have our own recliner and hardly EVER sit on the love seat so it couldn't be from over use. It is mostly used by company when they visit.
We've had our recliners for 5+ years and they are like new. Not sure I would buy anything else from HHGregg.
