So the same thing happened to us. In 2016 we bought a 2017 model LG television (as new).

It appears the model they sold us was a refurbished. The component plug was bad from day 1 - and they kept telling us there was nothing wrong with it. Well the HDMI went recently and I had the warranty company come get it. Everything points to this television not being new when we PAID for new.

Now we have a television that is barely 2 years old, and the warranty company offering us HALF of what we paid for it to buy a new one that will cost us $500 more than what they are offering.

I wish there was some way that we could go back and get these slimy Bas*$%&s! Who knows how many people they scammed!

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $1349.

Preferred solution: I want the difference in what a new TV will now cost me again ($500 between the warranty company and buying a new one) and my cost of extended warranty back ($200)..
